Rhizome
November 2019
Rhizome is the winning project of the 50th Charette, a 3 days competition, organized by the School of Design and the Urban Planning Department of the University of Quebec in Montreal. The participants are mandated to redevelop the territory of UQAM.

UQAM has distinguished itself since its creation by its dynamism, its effervescence, and its commitment. In a context of ecological transition, the university must direct its developments in order to contribute to the resilience of its environment. To this end, she took a turn towards the reappropriation of the surrounding spaces.
In order to cultivate the territory of UQAM in places of gathering, expression, and innovation, we propose to promote this momentum by re-qualifying its territory of influence into an eco-responsible zone sensitive to the image of a big garden.
